Ddx

• Torsades

Tx

• Amiodarone 150 mg IV over 10 min x 13 doses max
• if no Pulse, defib
• avoid:
  • Quinidine
  • Disopyramide
  • Procainamide
  • PhenothiazineS
  • TCAs
• if Torsades
  • give Mg sulfate 1-2g IV over 60-90s followed by 1-2g/hr

• chest Pain
• Dyspnea
• PMH
  • CAD
  • MI
  • HCM
  • Mitral Prolapse
• drugs:
  • Digoxin
  • Anti-Arrhythmics
  • Epinephrine
  • Albuterol
• Paralysis
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
